2023 Haval Jolion price and specs: S variant debuts

The 2023 Haval Jolion SUV line-up has been expanded to include a more powerful turbocharged variant, with the Jolion S slated to arrive in Australian showrooms shortly.

The Haval Jolion S is priced from $36,990 drive-away – $4000 less than the flagship Hybrid variant but $3000 more than the Ultra.

The Jolion S is fitted with an uprated version of the standard car’s turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, developing 130kW and 270Nm – 9kW/105Nm less than the Hybrid and 20kW/50Nm more than the standard variants.

Drive is delivered to the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Haval claims the Jolion S consumes 7.5 litres of fuel per 100 kilometres, making it more efficient than the standard 1.5-litre engine’s 8.1L/100km figure but 50 per cent thirstier than the Hybrid.

The Haval Jolion S is the only variant in the line-up to be fitted with multi-link independent rear suspension (in place of the standard torsion beam setup), which Haval claims will offer an “enhanced ride and handling performance”.

Additional changes to the Jolion S include ‘hard’ climate control buttons, black alloy wheels, black door mirror caps, black roof rails, black side garnish, and blacked-out lower front and rear bumpers.

All other features are carried across from the Jolion Ultra (full list below).
