The Audi TT’s future is in peril, with the German firm not looking to replace the current model when it reaches the end of its lifespan in 2023. The TT is being honoured however, with an ultra-exclusive RS Coupe iconic edition now available from £87,650.

For that not so insignificant price tag, the iconic edition does get plenty of exterior changes to help it stand out from the regular RS model, not to mention some exclusive interior touches – although the engine is unchanged over the standard car.

At the front of the iconic edition we can see a new gloss-black grille and matte ‘quattro’ badge, while its 20-inch black alloy rims are the same as you’d find on the TT RS Audi Sport Edition.

The biggest design change comes in the form of the wind tunnel developed ‘Aerokit’, which adds winglets on the front bumper, a front splitter and new blades in front of the air intakes. A large fixed carbon fibre rear wing appears on the bootlid, which Audi says supports both performance and efficiency. The iconic edition can only be had in Nardo Grey.

Inside, the RS sports seats are trimmed in Nappa leather and Alcantara with “iconic edition” embroidered into the headrests. There are flashes of colour inside with yellow stitching to the floor mats, centre console and steering wheel. A numbered badge is placed on the gear lever denoting the car’s position in the 100-unit production run.

The 2.5-litre, turbocharged five-cylinder engine is kept from the regular TT RS, so there’s 395bhp and 480Nm of torque available. The top speed is actually 1mph slower at 174mph (thanks to the Aerokit), but the 0-62mph time remains the same at 3.7 seconds.

Limited to 100 units globally, with 11 coming to the UK, Audi says customers should expect the RS Coupe iconic edition to be delivered from early 2023.
