Ferrari F1 driver Lewis Hamilton has unleashed his hooligan side on the streets of Tokyo in one of the brand’s most iconic road cars.
Seven-time Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton has hit the streets of Tokyo in the iconic Ferrari F40 – drifting and doing burnouts – in a new social-media video.
Hamilton shared snippets of the experience in a video across Instagram and TikTok earlier this week – days after the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka – following a teaser posted a week earlier where he posed with the car, captioned: “To be continued…”
The video features rapid-fire cuts of Hamilton drifting, doing donuts and burnouts, and threading the F40 through Tokyo streets in a convoy, plus shots of the vehicle at the capital’s iconic Daikoku car meet.
The clip ends with a shot of the car’s cabin, and Kim Kardashian – rumoured to be the seven-time F1 champion’s current partner – is seen sitting in the passenger seat.
In the lead-up to the Japanese Grand Prix, Hamilton made an appearance at Tokyo’s legendary Daikoku Parking Area, sparking calls from fans for a follow-up to a 2022 video of the F1 legend drifting through Tokyo in a rented Nissan Skyline GT-R.
The latest social media post of Hamilton in the F40 is titled “HERE WE GO AGAIN. TOKYO DRIFT VOL. III,” and at the time of writing had racked up 13.2 million views on Instagram, along with 48.8 million views on TikTok.
