Pininfarina’s latest creation is a one-off fully-electric hypercar inspired by Bruce Wayne, and carries a staggering price tag.
Pininfarina Automobil has unveiled a one-off fully-electric hypercar, known as the B95 Gotham.
In partnership with the superhero’s owners, Warner Bros. Discovery, the B95 Gotham is the first of four bespoke hypercars – all inspired by the Batman character.
Based on the Pininfarina B95 barchetta, the Gotham shares its underpinnings with the Rimac Nevera, and boasts staggering performance numbers.
The unique creation houses quad electric motors, producing 1900 horsepower (1400kW), maximum torque of 2340Nm, and receives energy from a 120kWh battery. It has a top speed over 300km/h, and a 0-100km sprint time of under two seconds.
While its driving range hasn’t been revealed, Pininfarina claims a charge time from 20 to 80 per cent in less than 23 minutes on a high-power DC charger.
The bodywork is finished in an Argento Vittorio gloss and is inspired by the Batmobile, but also pays homage to Batman’s secret identity – Bruce Wayne – with polished Wayne Enterprises logos on the side skirts.
A Batman quote can also be found on the driver’s side door, and the car is kitted out with various high-performance aerodynamic components.
The hypercar is also equipped with bespoke alloy Prezioso Evoluzione wheels, Brembo 390mm carbon-ceramic brakes, and a brushed aluminium anodised black rim centre lock ring.
Inside, the B95 gets bespoke seats upholstered in tan leather, brushed aluminium anodised black and gold finishes, and a voice assistant inspired by Batman’s butler, Alfred.
To celebrate its upcoming debut in California, the car was photographed alongside the Batmobile from the Nolan-directed Batman Begins film known as the Tumbler.
Three additional one-off Batman-inspired Pininfarinas are being made, including a Wayne-themed Battista and a Batman-themed variants of both cars.
The B95 Gotham is priced at just over $AU8 million, and will debut at Monterey Car Week in California next week.
